Statement of Faith

Welcome to Knowing Jesus.

Our desire is to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching the Holy Scriptures faithfully, and helping believers grow into spiritual maturity. The following Statement of Faith summarizes the biblical truths that guide this ministry.

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is God’s complete revelation to humanity and is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105.

2. The One True God

We believe there is one eternal God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God, equal in deity, glory, power, and majesty.

Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14.

3. Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now reigns at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe that salvation is found in Him alone.

Key Scriptures: John 1:1–14; Matthew 1:18–25; Acts 4:12; Hebrews 7:25.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe in Christ, indwells every believer, sanctifies God’s people, empowers them for holy living and Christian service, and distributes spiritual gifts according to His will for the edification of the Church.

Key Scriptures: John 16:7–15; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Galatians 5:22–23.

5. Humanity and Sin

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are separated from God. Humanity cannot save itself and is entirely dependent upon God’s grace.

Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–3.

6. Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God’s grace received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It cannot be earned by human effort or good works. Through faith in Christ, believers are forgiven, justified, born again, adopted into God’s family, and receive eternal life.

Key Scriptures: John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; Titus 3:5.

7. The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers in every nation. The Church exists to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, encourage believers, and demonstrate Christ’s love to the world.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; Ephesians 4:11–16.

8. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

We believe that water baptism by immersion is an act of obedience for those who have trusted in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. We also believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ as a remembrance of His sacrificial death until He returns.

Key Scriptures: Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26.

9. Holy Living

We believe that every believer is called to live a life of holiness, love, obedience, humility, and faithful service through the power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual growth is the lifelong process of becoming more like Jesus Christ.

Key Scriptures: Romans 12:1–2; 1 Peter 1:15–16; Galatians 5:16–25.

10. The Return of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return in power and glory. He will judge the living and the dead, establish His everlasting kingdom, and fulfill all God’s promises.

Key Scriptures: John 14:1–3; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 22:12.

11. Resurrection and Eternal Destiny

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people. Those who have trusted in Jesus Christ will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God, while those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God under His righteous judgment.

Key Scriptures: John 5:28–29; Daniel 12:2; Revelation 20:11–15.
