Step 1: Understand Your Need for God
Every person was created by God, but not everyone knows Him.
The Bible says:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23 (NKJV)
Sin separates man from God. It creates a gap that human effort cannot bridge.
No amount of good works, religion, or effort can remove sin.
Step 2: Understand What Jesus Did for You
God did not leave man without hope.
He sent Jesus Christ.
The Bible says:
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
Jesus came to:
- Pay the price for sin
- Restore man to God
- Give eternal life
It is written:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16 (NKJV)
Step 3: Receive Jesus Christ
Knowing about Jesus is not enough—you must receive Him as your Lord and Saviour.
The Bible says:
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” — John 1:12 (NKJV)
This is what it means to be born again.
Step 4: Make a Decision
Salvation begins with a decision.
A decision to turn away from sin and turn to God.
The Bible says:
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9 (NKJV)
Step 5: Pray This Prayer
If you are ready, you can pray:
Lord Jesus,
I come to You today.
I believe You are the Son of God.
I believe You died for my sins and rose again.
Forgive me my sins.
Come into my life.
Be my Lord and my Saviour.
I receive You today.
Thank You for saving me.
Amen.
